A night in a yurt facing the Pacific ( and a sushi bar…)

Because I’m in love with the United States,

Because I love road trips,

Because I dream of warmth and sunshine,

Because Highway 1, which runs from San Francisco to Los Angeles, is one of the most beautiful roads in the world,

I want to book a weekend at Treebones Resort, 16 luxurious yurts set between the steep coasts and the giant redwoods.

On the program, yoga classes in the early morning, homemade granola and garden fruits for breakfast, trekking in the Los Padres National Forest, reading on my wooden terrace facing the Pacific, relaxing day at Sand Dollar Beach, a wild beach hidden behind huge cliffs, swimming in the heated pool, kayaking with sea lions and dolphins in the marine sanctuary of Monterey Bay, Ayurvedic massage at Treebones’ spa studio, Californian wine in front of the sunset, ultra-fresh shirashi for dinner at the resort’s sushi bar, stargazing through the transparent dome of the ma yurt and a few days in paradise…
