Marion, the Louves co-founder, the website which takes care of you while you take care of your kids, gave us her super secret spot: an old-fashioned hotel in Sonoma, in the middle of the Californian vineyards.
‘The Beltane Ranch is an old colonial house, planted in the middle of the vineyards and the hills, approximately an-hour from San Francisco. This bed-and-breakfast is owned by the same family since generations and it seems like time has stopped. Breakfast is served in your room every mornings with farm produce (free-range eggs, vegetables from the garden, everything is delicious), you can taste the wine produced locally (white wine, perfect for appetizers),take walks on the estate, admire the sunsets from your room’s balcony, go horseback riding… Everything is authentic, the decor is perfectly old-fashioned, the rooms are super cosy, the welcoming is warm, cats chill in the sun, and your morning alarm-clock is a rooster… A little bit of Californian paradise where I dream of coming back.’
